Knee rails are often used to create a boundary for safety on decks and porches. As the name implies, a knee wall rail is a short wall, traditionally less than three feet tall. Typically on a deck or porch, knee rails tends to be simply designed for functionality, but at Renovo Renovations, we like to be a little more creative!
Just like the interior elements of your home, you have options when it comes to designing your outdoor space. Rails properly frame your space, but they also add plenty of character and style – contemporary, classic, traditional, eclectic – there are different types of materials that can be used to create something totally unique!
This gazebo knee rail isn’t just for safety – it’s beautifully designed to add interest to the deck and garden. This particular design came as a result of not wanting to block the view of the garden while enjoying the view from the gazebo. A low knee rail was the perfect solution! After an Internet search and browsing on Pinterest to find some inspiration, the design was modified to fit the gazebo!
